Workshops and Seminars A vital part of the Center's work has been its offering of workshops and seminars for teachers, artists, parents, and those concerned with the nurturance and development of the imaginative and poetic capacities of both children and adults. Workshops have ranged from Transformations, a series of Saturday workshops in which story-tellers, artists and writers have spoken and illustrated the role of transformation in the imaginative process, to The Magic Word: Children and Their Poetic Vision examining the sources of poetic understanding in children, to Reading Between the Lines: In Search of the Imaginative, a three year series of workshops for high-school teachers discussing ways to connect the imaginative process to all aspects of learning. In addition the Center, with each of its artist residencies, provides participating teachers with materials, concepts and experience in the use of the thematic process in their individual classroom. For complete listing of Upcoming Workshops for the Spring of 2008 please go to Upcoming Activities.
